Basic knowledge of pressure sensors

(1) Pressure unit conversion:
1 bar =105 Pa (Pa) 1 dyne /cm2 (dyn/cm2) =0.1 pa (Pa)
1 Torr =133.322 Pa (Pa) 1 millimeter of mercury (mmHg) =133.322 Pa (Pa)
1 mm water column (mmH2O) =9.80665 kPa (Pa) 1 Engineering atmospheric pressure =98.0665 kpa
1 kPa =0.145 lb force/inch 2 (psi) =0.0102 kg force /cm2 (kgf/cm2) =0.0098 atmosphere (atm)
1 pound force/inch 2 (psi) =6.895 kPa =0.0703 kg force /cm2 (kg/cm2) =0.0689 bar (bar) =0.068 atmospheric pressure (atm)
1 Physical atmospheric pressure (atm) =101.325 kPa =14.696 LBS/inch2 (psi) =1.0333 bar (bar)
Simplified formula: 1 MPa≈1 bar≈101 kPa ≈145 psi≈10 atm ≈10 kgf/cm2
(2) Standard state: the volume of gas is changed with temperature and pressure, so when measuring the volume flow of natural gas, it is necessary to specify a certain temperature and pressure as the standard temperature and pressure of measurement, called the “benchmark state” and “standard state”, China’s SYL 04-83 (natural gas flow and standard orifice plate measurement method) specifies: At 20℃, 1 standard atmosphere (101.325KPa) is used as the standard state of natural gas measurement in China.
